The Middle Truckee River Watershed Forest Partnership (MTRWFP) celebrates its second year of operations under a ten-year vegetation management plan.

Through 2025, MTRWFP has:

Implemented 11,772 acres of vegetation management and prescribed fire
Reduced hazardous surface and ladder fuels across 3,854 acres
Increased forest health and resiliency across 5,634 acres
Completed pre-implementation environmental planning and compliance on 17,506 acres
In total, federal, state and local government as well as private and non-profit funding totaling $10,899,656.62 was spent on the planning and implementation of these highly beneficial projects

Through 2024, MTRWFP has:

Reduced hazardous surface and ladder fuels across 2,865 acres
Increased forest health and resiliency across 2,537 acres
Prepared an additional 6,842 acres for fuels reduction and forest resiliency treatments in the coming years
Completed pre-implementation environmental planning and compliance on 11,914 acres
In total, federal, state and local government as well as private and non-profit funding totaling $4,705,940 was spent on the planning and implementation of these highly beneficial projects
