The Big Jack East WUI Maintenance Project is a targeted re-entry of the now-completed Big Jack East forest health project. The project is adjacent to multiple communities and recreational opportunities in the Truckee area and is therefore in need of forest fuel maintenance. The project will complete forest restoration and fuels reduction to protect these resources, enhance public safety, reduce potential wildfire severity, and restore forest health in this area.
